Objective

The EU-funded CardioSCOPE project is bringing together experts from academia and companies (from 6 European countries: 7 academic institutions, 4 companies, 1 hospital), to exchange and expand expertise on interdisciplinary approaches in cardiovascular diseases through a comprehensive multiomics approach. The project targets the discovery of novel pathological players of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) development and progression toward major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE). CardioSCOPE will use well-defined prospective cohorts, to discover and validate novel genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and metabolomics signatures with the use of machine learning/artificial intelligence (ML/AI) strategy to deliver more accurate diagnosis of ACS and prediction of MACE. The project will enhance research and innovation capacity of individuals and institutions, through individually designed secondment plans, training schools, webinars and short-term courses, and train scientists competent for the upcoming ‘omics’ era.Intersectoral activities will improve entrepreneurial skills of consortium staff and facilitate transformation of scientific breakthroughs into commercially available products/services.

Predmet istraživanja i ciljevi projekta

Projekat CardioSCOPE će koristiti prospektivne kohorte u cilju otkrivanja novih genomskih, transkriptomskih, proteomskih i metabolomomskih markera uz korišćenje strategije mašinskog učenja i veštačke inteligencije, što će omogućiti precizniju dijagnozu AKS-a i predviđanje velikih neželjenih kardiovaskularnih događaja. Projekat će unaprediti istraživačke kapacitete individua i institucija, kroz program razmene osoblja, tematske škole, vebinare i kratkoročne kurseve, i što će omogućiti usavršavanje istraživača kompetentnih za predstojeću eru „omike“. Međusektorske aktivnosti će unaprediti preduzetničke veštine osoblja konzorcijuma i olakšati transformaciju naučnih otkrića u komercijalno dostupne proizvode/usluge.
