Radica Stepanović-Petrović finished elementary school (elementary school "Jelena Ćetković") and high school (Sixth Belgrade High School) in Belgrade. She graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy in Belgrade in 1985, with an average grade of 9.79. Along the way, she also became a senior undergraduate at the Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade. She received her master's degree in cardiovascular pharmacology in 1990 from the Faculty of Pharmacy in Belgrade, and her doctorate in neurotoxicology in 1995 from the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade. She was elected Assistant Professor in 1996, Associate Professor in 2002, and Full Professor in 2007.
Radica Stepanović-Petrović had participated in classes for students of integrated academic studies in Pharmacology, Pharmacotherapy, and Pharmacotherapy in Pediatrics, doctoral studies, as well as for students of specialist studies required by the healthcare system (Pharmacotherapy, Pharmaceutical Technology) and specialist academic studies (Pharmacotherapy in Pharmaceutical Practice). She was the head of the specialist studies required by the healthcare system in Pharmacotherapy.
She is the editor and co-author of one textbook in pharmacology, as well as one textbook in pharmacotherapy for pharmacists. She is the co-author of two monographs of international importance.
Radica Stepanović-Petrović’s areas of scientific research are pain pharmacology, cardiovascular pharmacology and neurotoxicology. She has published over 160 scientific and professional papers in these fields, of which over 50 scientific papers in journals from the SCI list. She was the head of the scientific project of the Science Fund (The IDEAS Program: Fight_PainAndComorb) and research group within the institutional funding of scientific research at the Faculty of Pharmacy. She was the head of two national basic research projects in the field of medicine.
As a lecturer, she has participated in more than 50 professional and scientific conferences and continuing education courses. She was a longtime the editor-in-chief of the journal Archives of Pharmacy, member of the Council of Scientific Areas of Medical Sciences of the University of Belgrade, member of the Expert Board of the Association of Pharmaceutical Societies of Serbia, and head of the Department of Pharmacology. Radica Stepanović-Petrović is a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Serbia, Serbian Pharmacological Society, Society for Neuroscience of Serbia and World Association for the Study of Pain (IASP).
