Dr sc. Ivana Djuricic is an associate professor at the Department of bromatology within Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade. She graduated in 2000 with an average grade 9.32/10 and completed the professional exam in 2001. At the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade, she received title Master of Science in 2008 and became Doctor of Science in 2014. Subject of defended doctoral thesis was "Effect of omega-3 fatty acids from different dietary sources on cardiovascular risk factors in average middle-aged subjects".
In capacity of professor, she participates in the realization of theoretical and practical classes in Bromatology, Dietetics, Food Safety Control 1 and 2 as a part of integrated academic studies. She is also actively involved in teaching within doctoral studies, academic and health specializations. Since 2002, she has been engaged in interdisciplinary research throughout national projects. As of 2017 she has participated in international COST and ERASMUS projects.
Dr sc. Ivana Djuricic is the author and co-author of more than 80 scientific and professional publications: 21 papers in journals from the SCI list with impact factor, one chapter in a monograph of international importance, five articles in national journals and more than 50 presentations at international/national conferences. She is the co-author of two auxiliary textbooks.
Based on Rulebook on the health safety of dietary products under the authorization of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia, she works on categorization and certification of dietary products for Serbian market.
Dr sc. Ivana Djuricic is a member of Pharmaceutical Associations of Serbia, Serbian Nutrition Society and Association for Personalized-Holistic Approach in the Treatment of Patients.
Research interest: dietetics; the impact of nutrition on human health (primary and secondary prevention); sports nutrition; physiological, biochemical and health effects of food ingredients; dietary supplements, functional foods; nutrigenomics, proteomics, metabolomics.-
